Spadel Benelux obtains the Lean & Green « Star » for its efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint in transport and logistics.

Spadel signs up to the New Plastics Economy Global Commitment, which unites businesses, governments, and other organisations behind a common vision and targets to address plastic waste and pollution at its source.

Spadel launches Source of Change, 10 sustainable packaging commitments 2025.

As 1 of only 10 food and beverages companies in Europe, Spadel has approved carbon reduction targets, according to the Science Based Targets Initiative (international targets based on keeping global warming below 1,5 degrees).

Spadel is the first country in Europe to apply the holistic Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) approach and to have an environmental single score for all its products. It also the first to commit to -60% PEF reduction plan by 2030.

Carola and Wattwiller (Spadel France) receive the Great Place to Work certification.

Brecon Carreg (Spadel UK) wins the Welsh Government Responsible SME of the Year Award.

All Spadel products are 100% natural, without preservatives or artificial colors.

The old Bru-Chevron industrial site is fully returned to the nature. The factory employees plant 400 indigenous trees to restore the original biodiversity.

Spa Reine was the 1st natural mineral water brand in Europe to use 25% recycled PET in its PET bottles.

Spadel is also a co-founder of Fost Plus, an initiative of a number of companies responsible for the support of prevention initiatives and the recycling of household packaging waste in Belgium.

Emergency plan for protection of water sources drawn up in cooperation with the fire department, civil defence, foresters and experts from Spa Monopole.

Spadel was the first water producer in Europe to switch from PVC packaging to PET packaging. The PET bottles are 100% recyclable.
